BARBIE 110 CAMERAS

Barbie cameras are numerous, and not all of them are listed here.  They range from 110 to 35mm to digital cameras.  Surprisingly, there apparently never was a Barbie DISC camera.  Go figure!?  Only the 110 cameras are listed here, although some of the 110 and 35mm cameras look very similar in size and shape -- and color, of course.

One "problem" with Barbie cameras is that many of them are simply marked "BARBIE", while others have a designation on the camera itself, such as "HOLLYWOOD BARBIE".  Others have a designation, but only on the packaging, such as "GLITTER BARBIE".

If you are able to provide more accurate information than is listed here, please contact us.

The simplest Barbie 110 -- I mean without any glitter -- is just a bare-bones, boxy 110 that is pink all over, of course, and marked simply "BARBIE".  Single shutter speed and fixed aperture for ISO 100 or 200 film.

There are also similar, simple Barbie 110 cameras that are of the same size and shape but have curved ends and appeared with different coverings & decals, but the features are the same. Collect them all!!!

One step up from these are the 110 Barbie cameras that added a flash. Nothing fancy, of course, but you can turn the flash ON or OFF. These came in at least two styles. This one is vertical with a more traditional, grown-up, 35mm appearance -- probably a grown-up price, as well.

But there was also a tyically-styled Barbie 110 with a flash -- the Barbie HOLLYWOOD version.

And if you are asking, "Did Barbie actually have a 110 camera for HER, too?", the answer is, "OF COURSE", but only kinda, sorta. While these were not functioning cameras, they came in two styles, and what Barbie doesn't know won't hurt her.

As mentioned above, the Barbie cameras were tyically sold in kits, such as this Glitter Barbie.

This Barbie for Girls Hollywood Star Outfit, not only has a 110 with flash, but a pair of binoculars, too. If you look closely, you can see that Barbie gets a camera and binoculars  as well.
