PETRI HALF 7

(1962) An updated verion of the Petri Compact E.  The body style was changed, and some other the features changed as well.  First, the selenium meter has been moved to a position surrounding the lens.  In addition, the selenium meter -- in this model -- sets the correct exposure.  It had a focusing 28mm (f2.8) lens with close-focusing to 2.25 feet.  The focusing symbols of the original Petri Half -- S, G & P -- were moved off of the lens and into the viewfinder.  Speeds of B, 1/15 - 1/250.  Fully automatic exposure control.  Just dial in the film speed (ISO 10 to 200), and the camera sets the shutter speed and aperture -- like many other cameras of the time.  A needle and a green zone in the viewfinder indicate if light is sufficient.  No manual settings, except that the f-stop could be set for flash use at a fixed 1/30s.  Cold flash shoe and PC contact. Film advance moved to a large round knob on the bottom back edge of the camera.  Tripod socket and cable release socket.  Also available in an all black model.
