Mamiya Pistol camera

The Mamiya Pistol camera is another cold war relic (1954) that was made just for the Japanese police.  It was shaped like a pistol and had a fixed-focus 45mm (f5.6-16.0) lens.  It was a half-frame camera so the 45mm optic was actually a telephoto lens.  And because it was a half-frame camera, you could catch twice as many subversives per roll.  No meter; just manual exposure.  Shutter speeds of 1/50 - 1/150 with built-in auto-winder to catch those commies in the act!  Not many were made, so they are hard to find and very pricey.  But hey, the cold war could return at any moment.  The accessory gas mask is especially prized by collectors.
