Knoedler Colibri

The Colibri was the first camera made by Knoedler (1952).  It must have enjoyed some success since they went on to sell several other similar cameras during the 1950's.  The Colibri was a tiny, simple, plastic submini.  One of the few postwar cameras that the average German could afford.  It had a fixed-focus f4.5 20mm lens with a single speed (1/30) shutter.  The image size about 13x13mm on 16mm paper-backed roll film.  Think of it as a German Hit camera.
