REVUE

Foto-Quelle is a chain of photography stores in Germany, much like the Jessop camera stores in the UK.  Foto-Quelle rebadged and sold cameras – with names like Porst and Revue – from a variety of camera manufacturers -- much like Sears, Montgomery Ward, and Kresge did in the United States. One of these camera makers for Foto-Quelle was Seagull in China.  There was one Seagull DF-300-type camera that was sold, mainly in Germany, under the Revue name.

Revue DF-300

The Revue DF-300 is an Minolta X-300 clone made by Seagull, and usually sold with a 35-70 f3.5-4.5 zoom.  It can be found with a Maginon-Serie G MC TWO-touch zoom (above), or a very similar looking Auto Revuenon-Zoom MC ONE-touch model (below).

The Revue DF-300, like it's Minolta and Seagull brothers, has a horizontally-moving, cloth, focal plane shutter with 4 seconds to 1/1000 in Auto mode, and 1 second to 1/1000 in Manual mode. The top plate layout is exactly the same.

Bulb and flash synch is at 1/60. It has an electrically controlled self timer (10 seconds before shutter release). In self-timer mode, an LED on a front of the body blinks.  AE lock button, as well -- using the same switch.

The finder has split image, and a micro prism collar along with a shutter speed scale with red LED indicators -- and over or under exposure indication too. Flash full charged indication.  In manual mode, there is a match-LED type like X370s.  Exposure mechanism is an SPD light sensor of a center-weighted type. There are TTL aperture-preferred automatic, and manual exposure modes. Light sensor sensitivity is EV1 to 18 at ISO 100 and an f1.4 lens. ISO range is 12-3200, set manually with a film tab on back with ISO/DIN converter.  

It accepts any Minolta, Seagull, etc. XG-type power winder, and has a cable release connection.

Takes two LR44 or SR44 batteries.
