Minolta 16 MGS

"This picture is a 1x1mm section from an Agfapan 25 negative from my Minolta MGS. I was using the 800mm close-up lens which isn't really that close, but the results are quite astounding.  I was not using a tripod and I used 1/60 of a second, so I am really surprised at my ability to keep the camera steady -- given the magnification and my ability to guess the distance correctly.  I assume with  a tripod and more accurate focusing, the results would be even more astounding."

Shot with 16mm Agfapan 25 slit from 35mm stock, exposed at ISO 12 in a Minolta MGS camera at 1/60 and f8. Developed in D-76 (1+1) at 68 degrees for 5 minutes. Enlarged with a Beseler CB7 enlarger with a Beseler point light source and a Minolta Rokkor-X CE 30mm f2.8 lens at f2.8 (all point light sources must be used at the maximum aperture) for 10 seconds.  Paper is Ilford Multigrade IV with no MG filter developed in Dektol (1+3) at 68 degrees for 2.5 minutes.
