I. Introduction

The Subminiature Photography Mailing List is for hobbyists / photographers interested in using and/or collecting subminiature photographic equipment. Topics discussed include all aspects of subminiature camera use, technique and collecting.

II. "Not Just Minox"

====================

Many new list members often think this is a Minox only list. Not true! The scope of this list goes far beyond Minoxes. It seems at times like we Minoxers are the only ones here, and our cameras are the only ones that are significant, but that is emphatically NOT the case.

There are no second-class citizens in Submini Land! (Even though it sometimes seems like the smaller the negative, the more fanatic the owner...)

There's no reason to feel like you're breaking into a Minox-only club here... Plenty of room - and interesting stuff - for all small formats on this list. (With thanks to MSG)

III. How To Use the List Software

Subscribing

To join the list, send the message:

SUBSCRIBE SUBMINI-L, followed by your real name, in e-mail to

listserv@listserv.aol.com.

Example:

Digest Mode

-----------

To change your mail option to "Digest" mode, where you will receive one mailing per day, collecting that day's mail into one packet, send the message:

set submini-l digest

.. to listserv.aol.com, after you have subscribed to the list.

IV. Posting to the list

You must be a list or digest subscriber to post messages. To post a message to the list, send it to "SUBMINI-L@Listserv.aol.com".

V. Submini-L Posting Guidelines

===============================

Here are a few guidelines to keep in mind, as you ready email for the list:

* All messages should be in plain (ASCII) text format.

* Please do not insult (flame) the other list members. Email can often distort your original intention or meaning. Please be aware of this.

* Please do not post pictures or other binary attachments when you post to the Submini-L mailing list.

* Be sure to keep your posts "on topic". Change the message topic as necessary.

* You may want to quote the message that you are replying to, but try not to "over-quote". Do not quote the entire message.

* Please do not post "for sale" ads or commercial messages to the list. Be sure to visit the Swapmeet section of the Subclub for "For Sale", and "Wanted to Buy" postings.

To avoid utter chaos and anarchy, the List-Owner wears the pants aroundhere. Break the rules and suffer the penalty. If you have a complaint about a posting, tell the List-Owner. If you are caught bickering on the list, you will both be sent to your rooms without dinner.

VI. Commercial Advertising

Advertising, solicitation and commercial transactions are not permitted on the Subminiature Photography Mailing List. These are defined as recommending or providing goods and services from which the advertiser is financially compensated. If you have something to sell, we welcome you to use the Swap Meet pages, at the Sub Club.
